GV3 Coaching Training Plans

Pre-made training plans for use with TrainingPeaks, Zwift, and other cycling training software can be found on this page.  These plans can be purchased and you will own them forever!  These plans can be adjusted, applied to different goals, reused, and be used as a base for a bigger training plan throughout the season.  Please reach out with any questions about these plans at grady@gv3coaching.com.  Also, be sure to download the Training Plan Primer to help get started.

This plan is made specifically for beginners.  It takes you from base training to building and some specificity for criterium racing.  If you are used to riding 4+ hours a week already you may want to skip the first week or two of training or at least extend the rides as prompted.  If you have taken an extended offseason or break and want to start from the ground floor the first few weeks are perfect for slowly ramping back up your volume.


Couch to 40k Time Trial

This plan is made specifically for beginners.   It is designed to take you off the couch and prepare you for a 40km Time Trial, the gold standard for time trials.  If you are used to riding 4+ hours a week already you may want to skip the first week or two of training or at least extend the rides as prompted.  If you have taken an extended offseason or break and want to start from the ground floor the first few weeks are perfect for slowly ramping back up your volume, and the prompts to extend rides as needed should help if your fitness comes back quickly.

This is an 8-Week Base Training Plan.  It is meant for beginner to intermediate cyclists who have experience riding, but are looking to jump into the world of structured training.  Experience riding 4-6 hours a week is recommended.  Check out the "Couch to" series for true beginner plans.
